So, I'm watching 30 Rock and I'm kind of distracted. But that doesn't matter!
It's been a few days since my last post. And I'm not gonna lie, I have no excuse. I just didn't feel like writing. I feel like that happens a lot, I just don't feel like doing stuff. Like, hey, let's go catch Rocky Horror at midnight, we'll throw bread at the screen and dress like transvestites! And even though Rocky Horror is the most exciting thing to see live, I'll just be like "we'll see" and then NOT GO. Cuz it'd just be a lot of effort. God I'm lazy. I didn't feel like making a sandwich yesterday, so I just took some pieces of salami and stacked them on a plate. That's how lazy I am.
Things are going well with stuff, I guess. Nothing that exciting is going on. So I'm gonna end this early so I can go back to reading romance novels and watching 30 Rock.
Sooooo, bye.
Love, Erin(:

Sixteen Again(:
So here's the deal. I'm sixteen! I know people are usually like oh, it doesn't really feel any different. But the truth is, being sixteen feels so different to me! See, all the friends in the group I hang out with in my grade are younger than me, so they're all fifteen. And once I became sixteen, it just seems like that's such a young age! And then all my friends the year ahead of me in school are now THE SAME EXACT AGE as me. I feel like a REAL teenager, like it's official now.
And why am I so excited? Because Mean Girls 2 is on tonight! And it looks like it's going to suck, but I feel morally obligated to watch it, since I can quote every line of Mean Girls.
So it's a short post, sorry. Noteables: I had a sleepover last night with seven of my best friends, and we stayed up until six and got up at eight, so it was really crazy. But it was tons of fun. Then Jack came over and we hung out, and that was really really really really fun, you know... :P And then Amelia came over and we listened to The Animals' records on my record player, because vinyl beats out mpg any day, and its just a musical orgasm to listen to. And now I'm going to go watch Mean Girls 2, and eat all the food that my best friends gave me for my birthday (they just want to make me fat).

Lions and Piggies and Fishes, oh my!
Well, it's been a few days. FORGIVE ME PLEASE.
The past few days have been craaaaazy. So on Thursday, two of my best friends and I were accused of talking about this girl who's now dating this guy we know (I'm not going to call him my friend, because to be honest, he never was.) and saying bad things about her. See, my two friends are named Kate and Elise. This guy, his name is Matt, told me that Elise and Kate told him that ii was talking about her, he told Elise that Kate and I told him Elise was talking about him, and told Kate that Elise and I told him that Kate was talking about him. So basically, since we all knew we wouldn't sell each other out, especially for something that didn't even happen, we talked to each other, and then talked to him. And he yelled at us, and I sat there quietly while my two best friends yelled back. I don't like to yell, and I was too busy texting Matt's girlfriend's best friend, who was also angry with us. It was just an annoying situation because it never happened, and I hated how he pegged us against each other. Like, yea, our friendship is stronger than that, but that could've completely ruined my friendships with Kate and Elise if I believed him for a second. Oh, and Matt looks like a lion.
But we blocked him from our phones and our facebooks, and we plan on never talking to him again.
SO.
Then yesterday, Friday, I went to school, it as boring as usual. Then I came home and got ready for Ben's wake. My friends (who are actually my brother's friends too) decided to come over to cheer up my brother, because he was having a really hard time. So after the wake, I went home and they came over with cookies and we started watching The Lizzie McGuire Movie. Because that's legit. And then Jack shows up, and he starts putting bottles of water in my house. When I say bottles, I mean those like, two gallon jugs of water. So I'm like uhhh. Then he brings in this paper bag and tells me not to open it. Then he brings in this huge wrapped present. So I open the present, and its an aquarium! And in the bag are these tiny little fish, all different colors.
SO I JUST REALIZED I SHOULD PROBABLY EXPLAIN. See, Jack and I have this whole thing about fish. We have this fish stuffed animal we won, his name is George. And the fish Jack got me are all the colors of George, because I told him we should get a fish and name him George. And so he got me four. But then I woke up this morning and ONE OF MY FISHIES DIED. I almost cried. But I'll just get a new one. And my friend Laura, who was over cheering my brother up, was like "Geez, Chris never got ME any living aquatic creatures." Haha so basically, my boyfriend rocks. And no, he didn't get me jewelry, because I don't wear jewelry.
Anyway, yesterday during study hall I was with my friend Abby in the library. And we wasted our whole study hall looking at Texas Tiny Pigs and looking up baby names. Because we decided we're going to get a Texas Tiny Pig and share it. And it's going to be a boy and we're going to name it either Pancho or Ralph. We're going to dress it up and take pictures. Best waste of a study hall ever. My English homework didn't get done, but I HAD FUN.
I REALIZED I USE ALL CAPS WHEN I GET EXCITED OR ANGRY OR JUST REEALLY MEAN SOMETHING.

The Young and The Hopeless
Welcome to high school. I've been doing homework SINCE 3 O'CLOCK. That's six hours of homework. Plus the two 42 minute study halls, so like, seven and a half hours. Of homework. And I'm not even done. Well, I'm gonna go try to do theology homework, so see ya.

We Are Sex Bob-Omb And We Are Here To Make You Think About Death And Get Sad And Stuff.
Well, its nine o'clock. Which is NOT right when I get home from school, contrary to popular belief. See, today was a little bit COMPLETELY CRAZY. See, I got to school and ALL THE SENIORS WERE CRYING. Which, since its the day we get our final grades back, might be understandable. But then halfway through first period, there's an announcement and we're instructed to leave class and go to the auditorium for an emergency assembly. And then our crying principal nun tells us that a boy at the all boys school to our all girls school, Ben, died that morning. See, everybody in both schools knew this kid. He was AWESOME. But I'm not gonna sit around telling you how great he was, but trust me, its a shame. And even though I wasn't particularly close to him, my friend killed himself last year, so I DO know how everyone else felt. And so I've spent the entire day writing my sad friends notes to cheer them up and been on the phone with people trying to help them out.
ON TO WHAT I WANTED TO TELL YOU:
So the other day I was straightening my bangs, because they're curly and it looks awful if I don't. But I didn't wanna wait for my straightener to heat up, so I was using my curling iron instead. So I'm straightening my bangs, right, and all the sudden I get a text from my friend, and being the genius that I am, I attempted to open my (awful, crappy, annoying) flip phone. In doing this, I TOUCHED MY CURLING IRON TO MY FOREHEAD ON THE HIGHEST HEAT SETTING. Which, surprisingly, didn't really hurt all that much. But the problem is that now I have this big red mark on my forehead. And besides the fact that all my friends have been staring at my forehead and asking if I'm abused, it's annoying because it randomly hurts, and so my hands keep flying up to touch it. Why touching a burn would help, I don't know. But my friends and I decided that I'm secretly Harry Potter, and my school is secretly Hogwarts, because our orchestra is playing Harry Potter music for the next concert. So, hey. One year and five days till I can use magic outside of Hogwarts. That's a plus, right?

Green Grapes and Boyfriends.
Well, I almost forgot to write a blog post today. WHY?
Green Grapes and Boyfriends.
A few years ago (7th grade, to be exact) I had to do a project with two people. One of them was my BESTFRIENDINTHEWHOLEWORLD and the other person and I had NEVER GOTTEN ALONG. We were in my basement, and we decided to have frozen grapes, because frozen grapes are AWESOME. So we grabbed some grapes and put them in my dead body freezer. Then a few hours later, we got them out and started to eat them (as you'd assume.) It was like two in the morning, so we were a little bit out of it. We ended up having frozen green grapes, which, if you were wondering, taste NOTHING LIKE RED GRAPES. So they're really sour, and we're really loopy, and the person I was with that I wasn't friends with decided that "red grapes are meant to be frozen, because frozen treats that are grape flavored are purple, and green grapes are made of marijuana." At two am, this was a perfectly reasonable statement, so we laughed, and it became an inside joke between the three of us.
So the girl who I wasn't friends with and I weren't friends until this year, when we joined a volunteer program together. So she called me up and told me to go to her house today, and that my best friend in the whole world, Len, would be there too. So even though it was like nine o'clock, and I'd stayed up until three texting Jack and had my friend spend the night, I got dressed, threw my friend in the car, and made her drive me, since she knew the girl who's house we'd be going to. So we show up, and there are GIANT BOWLS OF FROZEN GREEN GRAPES. So I spent like two hours eating them, then Len gave me a ride home.
We didn't go to my house, though. We went to hers. And because I looked SO AWESOME running on six hours of sleep and not getting ready, we thought it'd be a good idea to have out boyfriends over. So they came over and we watched a movie, but Jack and I both fell asleep. So Len and her boyfriend just left us. So I woke up and I was like "oh no, I have to go to Caitlyn's house." So Jack drove me to my house, where I showered, then said goodbye and went to my friend Caitlyn's house. Where we watched a movie. And now I'm home, finally! And I have dinner soon, and Jack want's to talk, and I'm kind of ignoring him, so I'm gonna go now.
PS. Yes, we made up. Jack and I are cool now.

Decisions Decisions.
SO. Tonight. There's this dance called the blacklight. Which, of course, is exactly what it sounds like. A bunch of sweaty teenagers wearing white dancing in a hot gym lit only by blacklight. Why, Erin, would you want to participate in that? WELL. It's fun? But I have a church thing the same nighhhht. So I'm going to make a pro/con list.
Pro: I already own a pair of white skinny jeans. Con: Sweat. Lots of sweat. Everywhere. Pro: my friends are all going. Con: my friends are all couples. Pro: It'd be a lot of fun. Con: my boyfriends not going. Pro: I could drag my best friend along. Con: I'd have to rip her off her boyfriend to get her to do. Pro: she has white skinny jeans too. Con: I'd miss my church thing. Pro: my job for it doesn't necessarily require me to be there. Con: I'm going to miss a church thing next Sunday.
Well that completely didn't help at all. I think I'll just go to the church thing. Cuz I don't really wanna pay 10 bucks to dance with girls all night.
Oh, and why am I going to miss a church thing next week?
ITS MAH BIRTHDAY, SUCKAAAA.
Sixteen.
:)
I'm pumped.

Fighting With The Boy.
Not. Fun. The worst part about fighting with your boyfriend is that its always about something SO STUPID. Like "I hate that I never see you!" or "I feel like you don't love me." Well, how is FIGHTING going to solve that? If you ask me that would probably only make it worse. AND IT DOES. So, although this blog wasn't supposed to be about my life, other than like, advice, I'm about to complain a little. If you don't wanna hear it, well you should probably just skip this blog post. Read the others, they have a point.
Well, for the past week or so, I've been fighting with my boyfriend. "why," you ask, "would you be fighting with your boyfriend whom you love so dearly?" Well, obscure blog reader, you see, my boyfriend lives an hour away. An hour drive on a good day. But! I DO go to his school every morning, because my brother goes there and he drives me, and from there I take a bus to my school. So I get to see him every day, which is freaking awesome. Except during finals week, my day starts later, so I've been hanging out at my friends' house before school. These friends are twins, Eric and Amelia. Eric goes to my boyfriends school, but he lives like two minutes from my house. So my boyfriend, his name is Jack, by the way, made this joke about my fake relationship with Eric. (It's been an inside joke for like, a year, that I was secretly in love with Eric.) and I said something back to him about it. And then he got really annoyed (which I don't even care about, because I know I'd never cheat on him) and we (sort of) made up, with him saying that he just didn't want to lose me or whatever. But I've noticed that the longer we've been apart, the more we get upset with each other.
So it's been super weird between us for the past week, then yesterday I asked him if he wanted to hang out with me and some of my friends, because we were going to go get hot chocolate at this cute little place by my house. I just wanted to see him, you know? But he said no, it was too last minute. Which, whatever. I get it, hour drive, whatever. But I was texting him and I asked him what was up, and he said "BDUBBBSSSS!" (yea, just like that, whatever, it was lame, i know.) and I was like "oh, fun. with who?" Because nobody in his family likes buffalo wild wings but him. So then he listed a bunch of my friends, a few of which told me they were going like two days ago, so I knew this was planned. And so then I was like "that's nice." OKAY, so here's my problem, right. Buffalo wild wings is like, two blocks from my house. So he was right by me. And he was like "I can't hang out cuz it's too last minute." before, right? So then I said he should stop by my house when he's done there, and he was like "yea I don't think they want to." So I was like "Well, then maybe I'll come by and see you guys" and he said "we're actually just leaving."
GRRRR. And then I was like "Kay I'm gonna go, Jeff and I are gonna take a drive." And HE HASN'T TEXTED ME BACK OR CALLED ME FOR 16 HOURS. Did you text him? you ask. YES I DID.
The thing is, we're fighting because we miss each other. Which is just CRAP. So I'm gonna go mope now, see you.
I'll post at the end of a later post how it goes.

Day Off.
So, the day after finals at my school is always a day off. Which is nice, when you consider the fact that I normally get up at 5:19 to get to school and I sleep until 8:30 on my days off (yes, 8:30 for me is sleeping in. It's sad, I know.) But the thing is, I STILL DON'T HAVE A LICENSE. And my parents don't work at home, so I can't really GO anywhere. "Wait!" you say, "Don't you have a wide array of older friends that can pick you up?" Well, yes. I do. BUT. I'm also broke, because the thing about not having a license is that I can't get a job. So, what am I gonna spend my day doing? What are some good things to do on a free day?
1. Make yourself a GREAT breakfast. During the school week (or work week, whatever) you never have the time, so look up a recipe and try to make it.
2. Watch bad on-during-the-day television and make fun of it.
3. Try new makeup! Because nobody's going to see you if it doesn't look nice, but if it does you'll have a new way to do your makeup!
4. Try to write a list of things to do on your day off.
5. And fail.
Kay I'm gonna go watch a ridiculous amount of youtube videos, because I can. I guess you can add that to the list. Byee.

Finals.
First off, is there anyone who likes finals? If you do, I'm sorry. I hate finals. Not only do our teachers decide to give us three last minute chapters just so that they can use the same test they used last year, but theres also that fact that teachers don't seem to notice that I DON'T PAY ATTENTION. EVER. Which is generally a'okay for regular tests in my case. I mean, if i look at the book just before, I can get a decently good grade. But for finals, I have to know everything I've learned so far. Which is just entirely ridiculous. If I got an A on your test the first time, isn't that enough? Apparently not.
So the past week I've spent locked in my room reading my algebra book and translating subjunctive forms of Spanish verbs. But I had my last two finals today, and so my amaaaazing friend Amelia is here, and she's playing just dance 2 as I sit here and blog.
I don't have much to say, and Amelia's getting annoyed that I'm not playing, just... When you have finals, PLEASE, don't freak out about them. They're stressful, I know. But the truth is, if you didn't already know the stuff, you're not gonna learn it in a few hours before the test, and you DO know this stuff. So stay clam, take a deep breath, and when it's over bring your best friend home to play just dance with you, cuz you did it!

Judgement.
Judgement. The one thing I just CANNOT stand. Why do people judge so much?
Why do we CARE? Truth is, everyone judges, and everyone is scared that people judge them. I judge, I'll admit it. I hate doing it, it just HAPPENS. The problem is that we talk about out judgments a lot. See, we're so USED to it. You see a movie trailer, you turn to your friend and say "That looks like it's gonna suck." What is that? A judgment. So it's not weird for you to see a girl you don't know very well in a short skirt and turn to your friend to say "What a slut." But that's not FAIR. You don't know her. She could be really nice.
So I've made a decision. When i judge people, I don't HAVE to share it. So I'm not going to. Kay, cool.

The Friend Zone
So here it is. The Friend Zone. This happens to everyone at some point. You fall in love with your best friend. Why does this have to happen? Well, lets say you have a best guy friend. You're really, really close. You feel like you can tell him anything. He's always there for you. He makes you laugh, he'll hold you when you cry. Well, the thing is that you notice he's really cute. And he's the person you can call at 3 am because you're bored and you wanted to talk to someone. So you fall for him... Because you notice how great of a guy he is. Because you gave him time, so he opened up and was real with you. It just works that way. And maybe he likes you too, right? Its possible. But he doesn't want to ruin your relationship as FRIENDS. Or maybe you're a guy, I wouldn't know. Either way, getting stuck in the friend zone sucks. How do you get out of the friend zone?
See, the thing is, that EVENTUALLY, it happens to everyone. And I mean everyone. The first thing you have to ask yourself is "WILL this wreck my friendship with so-and-so?" Maybe. Next, "Is it worth it?" Again, MAYBE. Sometimes relationships with your best friends work out, and you could have an AMAZING relationship. But sometimes they don't. But thats the same with EVERY relationship you'll enter. If its going to ruin your relationship, then my best advice is to just, NOT. If you think it won't last, again, just don't.
Now, maybe it won't ruin your relationship. People can stay friends after they break up, it happens. So, if it won't, read on.
The best thing to do with this kind of thing is just say to your friend that you don't think it would ruin your friendship, because you're good enough of friends that it wouldn't make a difference, because your friendship could stand it. Agree that if you break up, you should stay friends. No matter what happens.
Now, ladies. -sigh- Ladies. If one of your guy friends asks you out, and you're scared to ruin your friendship, my advice is to not worry. If you guys have a bad breakup, or he cheats on you or something like that, truth is, that's who this guy is. You didn't do that to him. If he did something to you, he was like that before you dated, and yes, he's still like that.
Guys. See, now. Girls. They're complicated. And maybe this girl you see as a friend, you start to like. You don't know how wonderful this is. See, around most guys, girls are different. Even I AM, and I'm a pretty dang confident girl. They have perfect hair, their makeup is done right, they have a filter. But around you, this girl isn't like that. She's complex, and she's anything but guarded. And you like her ANYWAY. Explain to her that you love her in sweatpants, crying, at two in the morning, and she doesn't have to be perfect around you, because she already is.
That's pretty much all I have to say.

My First Blog(:
Oh, hey there. I guess you've stumbled upon my blog. In that case, WELCOME! I'm kind of new to this, but hey, you're new to my blog. So we're kind of in the same boat here, right? Well, just give me a chance. I figure for my first post, I should tell you a little bit about myself. I have to say this, first off, I'M A LIAR. I'm not sixteen. I'm fifteen. I turn sixteen in ONE WEEK. And I figured hey, if I put that I'm fifteen, I'll COMPLETELY forget to change it next week. Sunday of next week, to be specific. January 23rd. 1/23. Yea, I like it too. So now, on to the more important things. My favorite things: Harry Potter (yes, I'm one of THOSE people.) John Green Books (Looking for Alaska is officially my favorite book ever, i just found it about a month ago, my friend borrowed it and hasn't given it back, LAME.) Gilmore Girls (yes, i like the show, okay?) Photography (gosh, story of my life.) and last but not least, food. I'm gonna admit this: I like food. I can tell you're thinking "Wait, this is a teenage girl, blogging about her love of food? What's going on?"
Now I'm not saying that it's a completely impossible thing for girls to admit they like food. Plenty will. But honestly, the majority won't. For example, my friend was excited a few weeks ago, because her boyfriend left early from a party and she could finally eat chips. I was SHOCKED. My friend is a confident, intelligent woman. She's ridiculously skinny, where I'll admit i could stand to lose a few pounds. What shocked me even more was that nobody else found this shocking. I asked her why she couldn't eat in front of him, and she told me that she didn't want him to think she's fat. If I had a dollar for every time a skinny girl told me she was self conscious about her weight, or about how big her chest was, I'd be making millions. To prove something to her, I grabbed my boyfriend, shoved a handful of chips down my throat (I don't even really LIKE chips, but hey.) I asked him if he still thought I was sexy. He said yes. My friend told me that things were different between me and my boyfriend. See, I don't get that. Why do girls care so much?
I have a whole lot of guy friends, and I LOVE talking to them about girls. See, the thing is, guys like GIRLS. Guys don't like STICKS. Guys don't care if you eat chips in front of them. It shows that you're comfortable with them, that you trust them. If a guy won't like you because you occasionally like to eat deep fried potatoes, truth is, you probably don't want to be with that guy in the first place.
